Non Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR)
The State Government has been availing of additional funds for infrastructure development from the Ministry of DoNER. Priority has been given for infrastructure development under Power, Water Supply, roads and bridges, Health, Sports, Education and Minor Irrigation sectors. So far, the Ministry of DoNER has approved 92 projects with financial support of Rs.891.14 crores since 1998-99, out of which 10 projects of total estimated cost of Rs.73.33 crores were sanctioned during 2007-08. Rs.537.97 crores has been released from NLCPR against which the State Government has utilized Rs.403.05 crores as on 15/12/2006 (74.92%). Out of 92 projects, 25 projects have been completed including eight projects completed during 2007-08 and 67 projects are at different stages of progress.
